Whether you’re like me, taking advantage of this sale to try out some new items, or restocking your favourites, here’s a breakdown of my must-haves in makeup, skincare, and haircare!
MAKEUP: A significant portion of my makeup collection is from Sephora, so I like to replenish my everyday essentials during the sale. We’re aware that most of these brands rarely offer discounts, so why not grab them now when the opportunity arises? My top favourite foundation is the Too Faced “Born this Way” liquid foundation in the shade “nude.” I have dry skin, and it provides just the right amount of coverage without appearing cakey. During my pregnancy, when my skin has been prone to breakouts, I’ve been mixing it with Estee Lauder Double Wear in the shade “desert beige.” This foundation is renowned for its full coverage, but I find it a bit heavy for everyday wear.
Other must-have products I’ll be picking up during the sale include the Dior Mascara Primer (I go through a tube roughly every 60 days), the NARS bronzer in “Laguna,” which I’ve been using since high school, and the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow powder duo in the shade “taupe.” These are all part of my daily makeup routine, and I’ve repurchased them multiple times. If you’re considering trying a new eyeshadow palette, I highly recommend this one—it’s my all-time favourite!
SKINCARE: When it comes to items that rarely go on sale, skincare products top the list! Just last week, I shared my current skincare routine during my pregnancy, and many of you asked for a discount on the Drunk Elephant products I swear by. They’re rarely discounted, so this is a unique opportunity to grab them if you’re interested. My top three favourites from Drunk Elephant are the Glycolic Night Serum, Protini Moisturizer, and C-Tango Eye Cream. Once I have the baby, I’m excited to try out the BabyFacial mask, as it has received rave reviews.
I’ll also be stocking up on my favourite self-tanner and indulging in the splurge-worthy La Mer moisturizer, which never goes on sale.
HAIR: Hair tools represent some of the most significant investments in my bathroom drawers, and I wish I had bought them during a sale like this! My Dyson hair dryer, in particular, was a substantial investment, but it has been worth every penny. Many of you ask about my daily curling iron, and I use the t3 Twirl Trio, which includes a 1.5″ barrel for creating loose waves. If your hair is shorter, the 1.25″ barrel, also included in the trio, can achieve the same look.
During the sale, I stock up on about 10 bottles of my favourite dry shampoo (yes, you read that right 😂). I’ve tried them all, from drugstore to high-end, and none compare to this one. I use it frequently, so I go through roughly one bottle every three weeks. Additionally, I use Moroccan Oil Treatment daily to combat frizz resulting from curling.
